FACILITY: The Boundary Water Aquatic Center, 5000 Hwy 166, Douglasville, Georgia. Telephone (770)-489-2175. This is an indoor, 25 yard, eight (8) lane heated pool; bleacher seating for spectators and ample parking. Also available is a three lane warm down pool. An Omega Timing System will be used. There is also a large grassy area to set up chairs/tents at the back of the facility. NO DECK CHAIRS ARE ALLOWED ON THE POOL DECK
Deck space around the competition pool is limited to meet workers, coaches, swimmers, and officials.
CONCESSIONS: Basic concessions will be available.
HOSPITALITY: Will be provided for coaches and officials only.
RULES: The current USA Swimming Rules and Regulations will govern the conduct of the meet unless noted otherwise herein. Swimmers are responsible for swimming in assigned heat and lane. All officials must wear current USAS card while on deck and present current GA Official certification card at check-in. Coaches must present, upon check-in, a current USAS card. A coaches meeting will be held on Saturday at 8:45 AM. Georgia scratch rule (adopted 9/26/06) will be in effect. (See attached)
FEES: $4.00 Individual events $8.00 relay fee
ELIGIBILITY: All swimmers must be USA Swimming registered. Age groups are based on the age of the swimmer as of the first day of the meet.
ENTRIES: Please submit entries via HyTek (preferred) or on Standard Meet Entry Form. A printed copy of all entries, fees, and signed liability release form must accompany meet entries. Each entry must include the swimmers first and last name, age, date of birth, USA Swimming number, and seeding time. Each swimmer’s USA Swimming NUMBER will be used as each swimmer's entry number.
There will be a maximum limit of 5 individual events and 2 relays per swimmer. Swimmers should submit their best short course yards times for seeding.

LATE ENTRIES: Late/ deck entries will be accepted on an empty lane basis only. No new heats will be created. Deck entries will be accepted at the clerk of course up to 30 minutes before the session begins. All late entries will be entered with a NT. All swimmers entering late must show their USA Swimming registration card to the clerk of course to verify their current USA Swimming membership. Late entries will be charged double the entry fees. $8.00 individual and $16.00 for relays and must be paid at time of entry. If a swimmer scratches one event and enters another they will need to pay the late entry fee.

All meet fees should be sent with the entries payable to: Douglas County Stingrays. If entries are sent via email or fax, check must be received before the team participates.

SEEDING: All events will be pre-seeded.
FORMAT: All individual and relay events are timed finals.
WARM-UP: The Georgia Swimming Inc. approved warm-up guidelines will be followed for this meet. All warm-ups shall be split into two (2) twenty-five (25) minute sessions. A warm up schedule will be posted throughout the venue as well as on the website: www.douglascountystingrays.org
There will also be three lanes available for warm down in a separate pool.
SCORING: This meet will not have team scoring
AWARDS: Ribbons will be awarded for places 1-5 in each event and for each gender for each of the following age groups: 6 & U, 8 & U; 10 & U, 11-12, 13-14, OPEN.
The “Pentathlon” awards go to the top 5 finishers of the Pentathlon in each age group and gender. In order to be eligible, a swimmer must swim all five events offered in their age group without receiving disqualification. Pentathlon winners are determined within each gender and age group based upon the fastest total times for all 5 events.
Relay events do not count toward any Pentathlon awards though they will receive ribbons 1-5 places.
OFFICIALS: The meet referee will be Ralph McCrory. Certified officials are welcome and encouraged to work at the meet. Please contact the meet referee 10 days prior to the meet if a specific assignment is requested, otherwise report to the meet referee 60 minutes prior to each session.
LIABILITY: The Douglas County Stingrays, the City of Douglasville and Douglas County Inc., Georgia Swimming Inc., and the United States Swimming Inc. shall be held free and harmless from any and all liabilities or claims for damages arising by reasons of injuries to anyone during the conduct of this event.
SCRATCH RULE The Scratch Rule used in all meets in Georgia where the meet format has preliminary heats, consolation finals, and finals is the same "Scratch Rule" as that found in the current USA Swimming Rules and Regulations. Certain LSC additions listed below apply to all timed final meets as well.

E. Exceptions for failure to compete – No penalty shall apply for failure to withdraw or compete in an individual event if:
LSC ADDITIONS: 1. Swimmers that qualify for any additional heats beyond the above mentioned “C, B and A” final races will also be subject to the above rules concerning scratching from finals. 2. In deck seeded events, a swimmer who has checked in, been seeded and fails to compete in said event, shall be barred from his or her next individual event, except as noted in section E above. This rule also applies in timed finals meets where the meet management has placed limits on the number of heats to be contested or the number of individual entries to be accepted for deck-seeded events, unless otherwise stated in the Meet Information. 3. There is no scratch rule governing relays and there is no penalty regarding relay scratches.
4. Qualifiers for all finals heats and first and second alternates are those as identified on the original results of the preliminary heat.
5. The meet official designated to receive initial intentions not to compete and final intentions shall be announced at the beginning of each session. It is suggested that this official be the Clerk of Course.
6. On the final day of LSC Championship competition, any swimmer who has checked in for finals and fails to show will be assessed a $50 fine. This fine must be paid before the next LSC Championship meet in which the swimmer intends to compete or the swimmer will be barred from competition. 7. “Positive check-in” , (for deck seeding), designating a swimmer’s intent to swim a race, shall be denoted by the swimmer’s or coach’s initials next to the swimmer’s name on the official entry sheet posted at the Clerk of Course.
